SMS Builders, Inc. completely removed the attic space from this 1919 Minneapolis bungalow and added a second story luxury suite. In addition, the main floor bath was completely remodeled. SMS Builders took on the challenge of reconfiguring the existing staircase in a limited space and delivered a solution for the second story floor system, which was inadequate for the required floor loads. Because we took a unique engineering approach to this project, the outcome was fast, high-performing, and cut the cost of the second story structure in half. SMS completed the project with artistic craftsmanship and luxury finishes that enhanced the original style of the client’s home.
